REDUCED FOSSIL FUEL CONSUMPTION
  • According to the US Department of Transportation, Vermonters use over 5 MILLION gallons of gasoline per year for lawn and garden care. 

  • About 7 gallons of gas/diesel per year are consumed annually for EACH ACRE of mowed lawn in Vermont.

  • Battery-electric lawn care equipment requires NO fossil fuel.

SAVE $$$
  • Battery-electric lawn care equipment has very low operating costs because it has minimal service and repair costs, and the electricity used costs much less than gas or diesel fuel.

  • All of Vermont’s electric utility companies now offer valuable CASH INCENTIVES for both residential and commercial lawn mowers and chore tools purchased from Vermont vendors. A list of these utilities and the links to incentive information can be found at Mow Electric.

REDUCED CO2 EMISSIONS
  • Up to 140 lbs of CO2 could be saved annually for every ACRE of lawn that’s mowed with an electric mower.

  • Up to 20 tons of CO2 could be saved annually for every commercial electric mower that replaces a gas/diesel lawn mower.

CLEANER AIR
  • Battery-electric lawn care equipment has ZERO tail-pipe emissions, compared to gas and diesel lawn mowers which are a major source of smog-forming air pollution.

REDUCED NOISE
  • Battery-electric lawn care equipment is significantly quieter, and therefore can dramatically improve the quality of life in our communities.
